Join us for 2 evenings of learning vesnianky, spring calling songs. Everyone welcome, no musical training required. As a group we’ll discuss the context and meanings of the songs, as well as the techniques used to sing them. Most songs will be in very high registers, so those with deep voices might have difficulty participating.

Wednesdays March 22 & 29 6:30 – 8:00PM

Instruction by Olenka Kleban in Ukrainian and English. All text will be provided in Ukrainian, as well as transliteration into English alphabet. And sorry/ not sorry- no sheet music! We will learn by ear, as is the tradition.

though participants are welcome to contribute donations to House of Ukraine.
