Join Us for Varenyky Making Day!
We invite you to take part in our Varenyky Making Day, dedicated to preparing traditional Ukrainian dumplings.
It’s a volunteer effort to support the House of Ukraine. Together, we will make varenyky that will be sold during December Nights, the largest annual celebration in Balboa Park, to raise funds for our organization.
About the Dish:
Varenyky are traditional Ukrainian dumplings made from unleavened dough with various fillings such as potato, cheese, sauerkraut, mushrooms, or fruit. They are typically served with sour cream or fried onions — a comforting symbol of Ukrainian hospitality.
Whether you speak Ukrainian, English, or both, you are welcome to join us and contribute your time and support to help the House of Ukraine prepare for December Nights. Food Handler certificate is required.

Class is from 6pm-8pm. Door opens at 5:30pm.
