Join Us: Rally for Ukraine Outside Congressman Darrell Issa’s Office in Escondido

This peaceful rally is a strategic and urgent call to action – not only to remind the world that Russia continues its genocidal war against Ukraine, but also to highlight who started this war and who must be held accountable.

Last week, the American government paused the delivery of military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine, pressuring the Ukrainian government while giving Putin a green light to continue his invasion westward. Instead of holding Russia accountable, this move made it easier for Putin to seize more Ukrainian territory. Once Zelensky was forced to agree to Administration’s terms, the pause was lifted – yet no real pressure is being placed on Putin, the true aggressor who has no intention of ending this war.

Why This Matters

Ukraine shares America’s fundamental democratic values – freedom, liberty, and justice. The U.S. cannot turn its back on Ukraine or align itself with a dictator like Putin without severe consequences for global stability. This dangerous shift in rhetoric must stop immediately. The U.S. government must send a clear and unwavering signal that it stands with Ukraine until victory is achieved.

Why Congressman Issa?

As a Republican Congressman he can be heard by the administration and Congressional leadership. We have not heard any recent public statements from him yet in support of Ukraine. His silence on this issue raises serious concerns. While we deeply appreciate his past support under the Biden administration, his current stance remains unclear. Just days after President Trump called Zelensky a “dictator,” Congressman Issa announced that he was nominating Donald Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize.

This peaceful rally will feature messages of gratitude for past American support, and – most importantly – clear and factual messaging about the war in Ukraine. With so much misinformation being spread in the US, it is our duty to inform, inspire, and mobilize the public.

Our Goal

To mobilize constituents to call their representatives – especially Republicans like Congressman Issa – demanding the immediate resumption of military aid to Ukraine. The U.S. must continue supporting Ukraine to secure a just and lasting peace.
