We invite you to join us for an intimate evening with Marianna Kiyanovska, a Ukrainian writer, translator, literary critic, researcher, and the recipient of many literary awards. Her works have been translated into English, German, Italian, Swedish, Azerbaijani, Georgian, Polish, Serbian, Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Lithuanian, Belarusian, Russian, and Hebrew.
Marianna Kiyanovska will visit San Diego as part of her American tour organized by the Ukrainian Research Institute at Harvard University (HURI), whose press published the English translation of her poetry book “The Voices of Babyn Yar”. At the event at the House of Ukraine, Marianna will read poems from this book in Ukrainian, and guests will have the opportunity to purchase the book in its English translation.
This meeting with Marianna Kiyanovska is part of the “Verses from the War” series of fall readings with Ukrainian writers.
