Mark your calendars for an extraordinary night of music and culture on September 14th! We are thrilled to present a special performance by Oleksand Lyubbozhenko from Dnipro, better known as KOZAK SIROMAHA.
KOZAK SIROMAHA is not just a musician; he is a true free Cossack, the only Ukrainian Cossack who plays the harmonium, a unique instrument rarely seen in Ukraine. Living on the banks of the Dnipro River in a traditional Cossack settlement, he embodies ancient Cossack traditions, from raising his children in the Cossack way to mastering the art of the hopak war dance, which is over a thousand years old. His performances are a mesmerizing blend of music, shamanic ritual, and Cossack saber fencing — an experience you won’t find anywhere else.
To kick off the evening, the talented local NAMYSTO Dance Group, Luke Miller (bandura), Paul Filenko (bandura) and Tom Chung (saxophone), and KOLO folk singers will open the show, bringing their vibrant energy and passion to the stage.
