So, most of you know, Ivan (the amputee teenager from Sumy, whose family was run over by a Russian tank) and his chaperone Olena are here in San Diego for prosthetic treatment. Ivan’s dream is to be able to run again and Peter Harsch Prosthetic’s NGO “The Right To Walk” together with Olena Zelensky Foundation and Ukrainian Embassy in DC have created a joint project for treating Ukrainian civilian children in San Diego.

We are looking for a host family close to the Mira Mesa or Carmel Valley area who can host Ivan in 2023. He will be going to High School and continuing his prosthetic therapy.

We also need volunteers who can take turns and give him rides from his current host family in Mira Mesa to his medical appointments.

We also hope that the community can get involved and bring them dinner occasionally or take them sightseeing or fun activities or invite them over for food.

Please, email houseofukraine@gmail.com if you can help with any of the things above. You can also donate to him if you have money but no time.
